The primary goal of the bill (Reg. No.7333) is to concentrate intellectual and financial resources in the priority areas of innovation development to support production of high-technology science-intensive products, their sale at the domestic market and accession to the global market.
The bill subdivides priority areas of innovative activities in Ukraine into strategic (aimed at settlement of the issues of state innovative development; for the period up to ten years) and mid-term (aimed at support of the innovative renewal of national industry, production of new high-technology goods and services able to meet competition in the domestic and foreign market; for the period up to five years).
